Interaction 3. Don’t Confuse a Vacation with Emigration

"Imaginary journeys and the experiences of others — who brought back flowers and plants from trips during the May holidays and summer of 2020 — were documented, reinterpreted, encapsulated in bioplastic, and hung on a ceramic necklace like medals. The fragility of the material leads to the gradual destruction of the jewelry during interaction.
Destruction becomes a process. The elements that fall off become independent objects, continuing to exist both separately from the necklace and within the context of the process of decay."

Nina, August 2023

"We made an agreement. A soft, safe captivity. Like still water in a shallow backwater, harmless. An embrace so tight it’s impossible to tell one from the other. Neither I will destroy you, nor you — me. We won’t perish, we won’t hurt each other, we are simply bound too closely in this hour. But even this hour will come to an end, and we will part, still alive."
